The ATQ measures the nine NYLS temperament
dimensions in early and middle adulthood. These characteristics
include activity level, rhythmicity, approach-withdrawal,
adaptability, intensity, mood, persistence, distractibility
and sensory threshold.
The test manual contains information
regarding the development of the instrument, statistics
and directions for use and interpretation. In addition
it includes the complete NYLS item pool used with the
original study group.
The ATQ is a 54 item self-report instrument
standardized on the original NYLS sample. It is selfadministered
in 10-15 minutes and is useful for research or professional
practice.
The ATQ iReport Writer allows the professional
to administer and score the Adult Temperament Questionnaire
online. Questionnaire results can be input online by the
professional or a clerical assistant and reports viewed
